Your website is the world's window to you, your business, your organization. It must effectively convey your purpose, your priorities, your mission. We make sure of this, through design and content decisions made together with you and your team.
About

Jeremy Goldsmith, principal web designer at Tabby Media, began his professional career as a recording studio owner and engineer. It was there that he learned effective client relations, which involves listening to and respecting people's concerns and priorities. Jeremy learned the mechanics and design elements of web development over the years in his spare time, beginning with his own studio's site. In the years since, he and his team has developed sites for organizations, individuals and companies in many industries and sectors.
We make sure to bring that art of listening to every interaction we have. While we'll never refrain from expressing our professional opinions, the end result will always express your voice,
Our Story
How we work
We work hard to understand your goals when it comes to communicating your message to the world. It's important to refine that message so that the site user gets a clear picture of who your are, what you do, what services you provide, etc. It's vital to keep distractions to a minimum, avoiding gratuitous animations, overly long and rambling text blocks, any elements that do not contribute directly to your messaging.
We guide you in that process, helping you let the writing speak for itself. We help you to keep a consistent tone and voice throughout the website to stay true to the brand image and give visitors a taste of the organization's values and personality.
Conceptualize
Design is the "mood music" that your message lives in. The design helps prepare your visitor to take in the meaning of your words and the intent of your message, feeling about them in a way that you want them to. For instance, a clean sparse design with minimal elements and soft colors will leave a different impression than a design with bright colors, many objects and animation, and a cluttered appearance. Neither is right or wrong...it simply depends on your intent. Of course there are accepted best practices, but in the end it's about how your message is expressed.
Sound manipulative? You bet it is! Relish the power!
Build a design
Aside from your written message, elements that typically reside on web sites include illustrations, photographs, sound and video media, downloadable documents and forms, and other digital assets. These need to be assembled and organized so they can be effectively deployed within your design. And they need to be of the highest quality possible. We can assist in selecting, improving, and even helping to develop these assets as part of our work on the project. We can produce high quality audio/video, and photography, to help show off your organization and get your message across.
Assemble assets
The actual process of creating your site comes next...up to now it has all been planning. We at Tabby Media understand that as the project moves forward, things inevitably change. We are skilled at "zig-zagging", knowing that new creative ideas will pop up as the site takes shape. We will NEVER try to impose restraints on your project for the sake of expediency. This is a partnership, but YOU are the boss!
The project is not finished and ready for the next step until we are all staring at it, heads nodding up and down.
Layout and fine tune
When the site is ready for prime time, we handle the details of arranging for your domain (www.yoursite.com), secure hosting service, etc. After launch, we will "hand over the keys" to the site to the appropriate person or persons in your organization, and provide written and oral training on how to use any of the site's functionality. Like harvesting form submissions, adding fresh content, simple design changes, accepting payments, etc.
Then, we do NOT disappear! In fact, you might get sick of hearing from us. It's important to us that the site works for you and accomplishes its purpose, so we schedule check-ins and design/content evaluations at certain intervals.
